More than 75 specialists, staff, and doctors provide complete eye care to patients! The Eye Care Center is one of the most complete eye care facilities in Upstate New York. In 1973, the practice started with two doctors and a small office in F.F. Thompson Hospital. Since then, the office has grown to locations in Canandaigua, Geneva, and Macedon. From routine exams and laser surgery to emergency eye care and cosmetic services, the doctors and staff at The Eye Care Center are dedicated to meeting all of your needs and exceeding your expectations.

Routine Care

Your annual exams are handled by experienced doctors, who also check for medical problems. You can have your glasses made right here at The Eye Care Center, and contact lenses are available for less than you would pay through a mail order service.

Emergencies

If you are a current patient and you have an urgent problem, please call us at 585-394-2020. An ophthalmologist-on-call provides established patients with emergency service, 24 hours a day, seven days a week, including weekends and holidays.

Advanced Surgical Techniques

Cataract surgery, retinal surgery, eyelid surgery, corneal transplants, and glaucoma treatments are provided at F.F. Thompson Hospital, Finger Lakes Ambulatory Surgery Center, Westfall Surgery Center, Clifton Springs Hospital, and Brighton Surgery Center. Laser Vision Correction is performed by Dr. Hindman right in the office. The Eye Care Center is known throughout the medical community for introducing newer, safer techniques to the region and investing in the best equipment. Our team is proud of our quality outcomes and very low complication rates.

Dedication to the Community

As a part of the community, our team works to make life better. Whether that’s volunteering for the Ontario ARC or participating in a 5K run for Laurel House, The Eye Care Center comes through. Some other organizations supported include: Ontario County Humane Society, Wellspring Food Distribution Center, CurePSP, the Seeing Eye Dog Fund, Child Advocacy Center of the Finger Lakes, Wood Library, and ABVI/Goodwill Vision Enterprises.
