I give my highest recommendation to this place. As a physician myself, I can recognize good and compassionate care. Lori in particular, goes above and beyond.
My cataract surgery was performed by Dr. Hwang at the Ambulatory Surgical Center in Geneva, with follow up care at the Canandaigua Office. Both eyes were done about 2 weeks apart. Dr. Hwang and the entire team, take-in, scheduling and actual surgery, did a wonderful job. The staff was prompt and caring; explanations were detailed. A special Thank You to the nurses at the surgical center who made me feel at ease and who worked in a very professional manner.
I had cataract surgery (first eye 08/01/2022; second eye 08/15/2022). I had an amazing and exceptional experience. Wait time prior to all visits were minimal. The entire staff who walked me through the process were very knowledgeable and pleasant. Scheduling the surgery with Cindy was easy and she was very explicate. The surgical process was comfortable and painless. I will continue to highly recommend Dr. Hwang and his entire staff and I will have no hesitation to use the Eye Care Center again in the future if it ever arises that I need additional eye care. I wish I could have remembered all the names of all the staff, including the young man who prepared me prior to each surgery and the nurse who assisted Dr. Hwang during the surgery, so that I could praise them individually.
I had bilateral upper lid blepharoplasty done by Dr. Rothstein. Dr. Rothstein was very professional, explained the procedure in detail and answer all of my questions. Kathy O'Brien, the Surgery Scheduler, worked with me to schedule the procedure and kept on top of the insurance authorization. Kathy also answered all my questions. Both put me at ease and I am very pleased with the results. Thank you to Dr. Rothstein and the Eye Care Center staff.
I became a patient of the center by a recommendation of my friend. I was very happy to meet the most friendly staff here, who helped me a lot. The frond desk Ashley was incredibly nice. And it was Devin who was efficient professional and helpful, a big thank you to Devin! Dr. Dugo was extremely professional and gave me a lot of helpful advice. My rating is 5 stars plus
Dr Ray has handled my glaucoma and dry eye problems for years now. My pressures have remained good, thanks to the right eye drops. Thank you Dr Ray! And thanks to Chris Sullivan for always finding the frames that look best on me! You guys are great!
I had an appointment at 10:00. My ride [Medicaid Transportation] called me at 10:05 to let me know they were on the way. My ride was totally lost and he drove WAY past my stop. I kept telling him, "It's right by Thompson Hospital", but he never bothered to listen to me & kept relying on his GPS. By the time I arrived, it was 10:20. I was sure that I would be denied my appointment & be rescheduled. [THANK You, Lord!] I had ALL THREE appointments done in one appointment, even though my ride made me very late! In the final outcome, [Field Vision Test, Pressures Checked & looking into my eyeballs], everything looked normal! [Thank You, also, Lord, for that outcome and for something to happen so that I could get everything done and checked!]
The Eye Care Center has such amazing doctors, Technicians, employees, eyewear, and other products. Everyone is professional, courteous, friendly, and helpful!!! I also had surgery to remove skin tags on my upper and lower eyelids. There was little to no scarring!! I was impressed!! I will continue to go to The Eye Care Center in the future!!
I didn't know what was wrong and I didn't know there was fix. But after I had bumped my head on the car door frame a few times and on the lower kitchen cabinets and found myself holding my eyes open with my fingers to watch TV in the evening, I made an eye appointment. I was told my eyelids were obstructing my field of view and I was using my eyebrows and forehead muscles to hold my eyes open, even to have that smaller field of view. Thank goodness there was a solution. Dr. Rothstein performed a painless procedure on both my eyes. I can't believe what a difference. I'm 72 and I guess over that many years gravity had its way with my eyelids and now only 1 month out, I am so happy that Dr. Rothstein had the fix and did such a great job. I had recent eye surgery with Dr. Anna Rothstein...She was AMAZING! From the time I walked into the Center in Canandaigua for evaluation, EVERYONE from check in, to check out, and all the staff in between, were super polite, very nice, and so welcoming. Even the staff members NOT involved in my care, were extremely kind, and made a point to say Hello, and wish me well. As an RN, the entire staff should be very proud of themselves for their care and attention, and it would be my pleasure to make them as a recommendation. We found the initial reception people very helpful & friendly - same with the folks who checked us out. We've had two appointments in the office, and the initial technicians Austin & Amy were similarly helpful & friendly. Dr. Hindman was also very welcoming, and informative. She promptly got us scheduled for surgery, which went very well. We are very grateful to be patients of the Eye Care Center of Canandaigua, and recommend highly.

Great doctors and modern equipment to thoroughly test the eyes. Took the time to explain results and answer all questions. Reasonably priced as well. Highly recommended.
I never knew how much of Life I was missing. My peripheral vision had declined over the year's. I now can can see everything around me. As a added benefit , my eyes look again like they did when I was twenty. My life has changed for the Better. I received the very best compassionate and professional care from everyone at Canandaigua Eye Care Center.
I would highly recommend anyone to go here!!!! I went to the Newark Office and was seen by Dr. Ray. He was most pleasant, listened to my concerns and was very informative and professional. The eye exam was to say the least, very intensive in a good way. Very thorough! I was followed up by cataract removal with Dr. Hindman. Such a nice doctor. I was awake during this procedure although did not hurt. She talked to me through the entire procedure making me feel very calm.. She even called me at home later in the day to see how I was feeling. If you need eye care....go here!!! I should also mention the staff that worked in all offices were the best as well.
I had eye lid surgery the Friday before Thanksgiving. I was very nervous about the procedure (you are awake for most of it) but the staff and doctor assured me it would be painless. They were right and I was able to ask questions and hold a conversation with the surgeon. The bruising looked bad the day after but was mostly gone by Thanksgiving. My follow up care was good and many people have commented on how good my eyes look. if you are considering this, don't hesitate to schedule an evaluation. Oh, I had it done through the Canandaigua office.
I was having some blurry vision and looking for any eye care office that was open on a Saturday. I was referred to the Canandaigua Eye Care Center and Dr. Hwang was able to see me on Saturday at 5:30 pm. It was also Labor Day weekend. I was amazed and grateful that a doctor would be on call on a Saturday night on a holiday weekend. Dr. Hwang was wonderful, very reassuring, and gave me instructions for what to do in the future if my eye is bothering me again. I felt so relieved that I didn't have to wait until Tuesday (since Monday was Labor Day) to get my eye looked at. Thank you, Dr. Hwang.
I have been going to the Newark Eye Care Center for years. No where else have I had such great customer service . Chris always patiently explains the many lens options and then helps find the perfect frame for me. I love this place!
I rarely follow up on doing reviews but this has been such a wonderful experience i couldn't resist. Dr. Holly Hinman is one of the most confident, experienced, professional eye doctor I have seen in the 5 years I have been suffering with eye issues. I will recommend her to anyone seeking solution to eye related issues.
Dr. Ceravolo is so efficient and never acts rushed. She talks about your eye care of course, but more than that she is fun in her conversations with me. I always look forward to my check-ups with her. I drive from Canandaigua so I can have her care for me. Give her a raise. Thanks Doc, you're the best.
